The Press Corp is an integral part of every AmeriMUNC, and will be returning as a part of AmeriMUNC XIII. During conference weekend, delegates in this unique committee will not be tasked with drafting resolutions or passing directives to solve the pressing issues facing Europe, but instead will spend their time as journalists covering the activities of the conference. Press Corps delegates will assume the roles of international news organizations, such as Reuters, the BBC, and others. They will visit the numerous committees throughout the conference to observe debate, interview other delegates, and use that information to produce journalistic content and inform other delegates about the achievements of other committees and events occurring throughout the countries that make up the conference. 

Press Corps are essential for AmeriMUNC’s interconnected simulation, as events in any committee have the potential to impact all of the other committees, so it is vital that other delegates are up to date about the key developments over the entire weekend. Furthermore, by placing delegates in the roles of journalists, Press Corps highlights the significance of journalists and the information they provide in geopolitics and international relations.
