AmeriMUNC’s partnership with this hotel ensures that we can not only guarantee our delegates’ accommodation close to the conference itself but also get reduced prices to make our conference as accessible as possible. While not mandatory, AmeriMUNC highly encourages our delegations to stay with a partner establishment to not only access all of the AmeriMUNC Services but also provide the best price for its delegates and advisors.

While advisors book the hotel rooms for their delegations directly and not through AmeriMUNC, we as a conference commit to providing advisors with all the necessary information and making the process as easy as possible for our delegations. If you ever have any questions, or concerns or require assistance please reach out to the Director of External Affairs, Tristen Boga - Torres at tristen@amerimunc.com

CONFERENCE FEES

Payment from returning delegations must be received by November 30th, 2023 for provided discounts to apply. Payment for international and new delegations must also be received by November 30th, 2023. Payment for late registration must be received by January 1st, 2023.

Upon receiving payment or proof of payment, AmeriMUNC will send positions to the delegation. If the payment is not received by the registration deadline, we reserve the right to give your spot to another delegation and/or charge a late fee.

FINANCIAL AID

The current American University Financial Aid Fund was launched with one ambition: to make AmeriMUNC accessible to any interested delegation, no matter their background or financial means. The Secretariat offers a financial aid application for schools seeking assistance to attend AmeriMUNC. In the past, schools that provided aid have gone out to win delegation awards and participated successfully in our simulation.

The impact of Model UN’s educational promise is immeasurably valuable, teaching students many important life skills. However that promise is only as good as it is accessible, which is why AmeriMUNC is providing need-based financial aid to qualifying delegations once again this year.

This year's award, for qualifying delegations, is a credit on an applicant-delegation’s AmeriMUNC invoice to significantly or totally reduce fees toward AmeriMUNC. AmeriMUNC’s financial aid may only apply for conference costs, but not costs incurred toward other parties, including means of travel or accommodation.

Only delegations themselves, and not the individuals that comprise them, can apply for financial aid. That being said, delegations can apply for specific individual(s) to receive the award and does not need to be an application for the entire delegation. Individuals may apply for financial aid only if they are an independent delegate.

Questions about our Financial Aid can be directed to our Chief Financial Officer, Gaby Mackay, at gab@amerimunc.com

ACCOMMODATIONS

AmeriMUNC has worked with hotels in Washington, DC to provide the best accommodations for our delegations. Our partnerships ensure that we can not only guarantee accommodations close to our campus but also get reduced prices to make our conference as accessible as possible.

Through this partnership, we reserve blocks of rooms in hotels so that advisors can go directly to the hotel and make specific reservations based on the needs of their delegation.

We commit to providing advisors with all the necessary logistical information and to making the process as easy as possible for our delegations. While not mandatory, AmeriMUNC highly encourages our delegations to stay with a partner establishment. These hotels host our AmeriFEST Delegate Dance, Midnight Crisis, and the transportation we provide.

While accommodation is not included in the AmeriMUNC fees, travel from the hotels to the conference is. AmeriMUNC will provide a bus service to and from the hotels to the American University Campus on all three days of the conference to ensure the delegates and advisors have the most convenient experiences while attending our conference. Moreover, AmeriMUNC offers catering options to both delegates and advisors on the weekend. Such meals and refreshments will take into consideration the dietary restrictions advisors have communicated to us.
