Dumping: Food Aid or Waste?

Fiat panis, the Latin motto of the Food and Agriculture Organization (FAO), translates to English as β€œLet there be bread.” The FAO is a specialized agency within the United Nations that aims to bring the motto to life by leading international efforts to defeat hunger, improve nutrition, and enhance food security, and truly exemplifies what it means to let there be bread. As organizations such as the FAO work to reduce hunger by transforming agriculture and building food security infrastructure, especially in Africa, climate change is an issue that plagues the globe. The FAO is called upon to work through issues that bring into question sustainability while helping Fiat panis on the African continent.
