Around the world, extremist ideologies have been on the rise. Whether it be a response to the current ruling elites or the general geopolitical order, these new ideologies have been accompanied by an increase in violence and terrorist threats around the world. The job of this committee is to tackle the important goal of disarming these new threats before they can wreak havoc. 

Delegates will be tasked with finding a consensus on effective disarmament strategies to prevent these emerging threats and contain existing ones. Throughout the conference, this committee will grapple with the fundamental question: can security issues be resolved peacefully while still preserving state sovereignty and power? Additionally, delegates will dive deep into security dilemmas, monitoring threats, and discover the extent to which their nations can act towards the goal of peace, while maintaining their own national interests.
