AFRICA UNION

Supporting the Green Wall

Since 1999, the African Union (AU), has worked to accomplish security and peace across the continent. Based in Addis Ababa, it comprises all fifty-four countries on the continent, as well as the Sahrawi Arab Republic. As a representative of your country in the African Union, you will work to fight key issues facing the African Continent. With goals of protecting the sovereignty of African states, improving standards of living across the continent, and promoting democracy in its member states, The AU is the primary body of international cooperation in Africa, overseeing a number of key bodies such as the African Centers of Disease Control, the African Central and Investment Banks and the African Energy Commission. Your role as a representative can therefore define the future and direction of Africa. As you consider the issues of supporting the green wall, remember the future of Africa is in your hands.
