AFRICAN DEVELOPMENT BANK

Seeking Inclusive Economic Growth

With significant poverty among governments and certain regions in Africa, it is important to have an organization that can support and steady these institutions and countries. The African Development Bank, or the Banque Africaine de Développement, is a finance organization headquartered in Côte d’Ivoire, or the Ivory Coast, with the goal of contributing to the economic development of the governments and private corporations of the regional member countries of the ADB. By contributing to sustainable economic development in these countries, the ADB seeks to contribute to poverty reduction in these countries. This multilateral development institution also adheres to the UN’s 17 Sustainable Development Goals, having them as the center of its mission. As one of 5 major multilateral development banks in the world, the ADB provides monetary assistance to its member governments and the private sector in that region by financing projects that are likely to contribute positively to the economic development of its stakeholders.
